The Scarpa Vapour Lace is a similar shoe to the Vapour Velcro, but with a stiffer nylon midsole for improved performance on those tiny micro-edges. Vibram XS Edge rubber is durable and resists deformation for improved edging.

The uppers are built from a combination of natural and synthetic materials, to stretch where necessary, but retain the shape in other areas. Fit-wise, these are a touch narrower than the Vapour Velcro. Sized large, the Vapour Lace would make an excellent all-day trad boot thanks to the extra stiffness. Size them super-tight and they’ll be perfect for the sort of just off-vertical crimpy limestone that defines UK sport climbing.
