As tough and hard-wearing as the crocodiles they’re named for, it feels like the Outdoor Research gaiters have also been around forever.

Their bombproof design has changed very little over the years and they remain the best choice where absolute durability is required. Gore-Tex^® fabric on the top half of the gaiter ensures excellent breathability while the bottom of the gaiter the fabric is made from reinforced Cordura for extra durability.

A tab holds down the front opening of the gaiter and prevents it coming off your boot as you move. It’s backed up by a hook and loop patch, which holds the two sides of the gaiter together.

An adjustable buckle at the top of the gaiter seals out debris and snow for complete weatherproofing and the instep strap is now made from triple-bartacked BioThane^® webbing.

How to fit your gaiters

• Wrap gaiter around leg and boot top with OR logo on outside of ankle
• Close hook/loop front closure and fasten shear tab
• Attach hook through boot laces
• Fasten instep strap
