The Pure Slider III from Edelrid looks just like an ordinary snap-gate karabiner, but on closer inspection you’ll notice the little slider tucked beneath the nose. This unique locking mechanism adds an extra element of safety to your sport draws (particularly on the first couple of clips), and will be especially of use on wandering traversey routes where the bolt end is at risk of self un-clipping. At just 47g, it’s not much heavier than your standard solid gate either.
