DMM Revolver Wiregate Karabiner

The Revolver karabiner’s pulley wheel reduces friction on climbing ropes moving through the karabiner. Placed where the pitch changes direction, it reduces rope drag and makes upward motion easier.

It can also be used to improvise hauling and rescue systems, whether you’re helping your second through the crux move or hauling kit bags to your bivvy. Where normal karabiners in these systems cause energy to be lost as friction, the Revolver’s pulley wheel makes hauling easier by converting more of your energy into movement.
